Intergenerational Mornings

* This is on hold at present *

During last summer 2019 we held an arty session where Beverley Pashley from Arty Time lead a morning of fun with painting pebbles, spray paint, designing canvas bags, collaborative piece, collage and more. It was a hugely successful morning with lots of positive feedback. It kick started the Intergenerational mornings and gave us ideas for future sessions. The collaborative piece, an 'under the sea' theme, is displayed in the chemist window.

We had a fantastic Intergenerational session in autumn 2019 icing cakes and learning how to model bugs, caterpillars and roses and then practising techniques of piping buttercream. Thanks so much to Zoe for imparting your knowledge and skills.

We had a mix of people of different ages and supplied toys to entertain the children. Everyone left the session with a selection of their decorated cakes.

At the end of 2018 and early 2019 we held ceramic painting sessions where we created various different pieces to be used in the home or given as treasured sentimental gifts. We kick started with painting tiles, then had a Christmas special where people painted baubles, decorations and various gifts, then we had a kitchen special, a baby print session and finally an Easter special.

People of all ages came together and enjoyed the relaxing mornings where they met new people, enjoyed tea and cake and created something unique. The children, after they have finished painting, had fun in the book/toy corner and met new friends whilst playing. We  received so many lovely comments and feedback about how relaxing it people felt it was and how nice it was to do something different.
