** Renovations are ongoing within Government guidelines and we hope to open early in the New Year**
MAYFACS Shed
The MAYFACS Shed is starting up again soon. It now has a new home, Merrieweathers Farm in East Street. We need your help to get it set up. We are in need of electricians, carpenters and any other skills which may be useful. Volunteers have been, and still are, busy renovating and equipping the disused farm building to form "our Mayfacs Shed".

Sheds are about meeting like-minded people and having someone to share your worries with. They are about having fun, sharing skills and knowledge, and gaining a renewed sense of purpose and belonging. As a by-product of all of that they reduce isolation and feelings of loneliness, they allow men (and women) to deal with mental health challenges more easily and remain independent, they rebuild communities and in many cases, they save lives. They are community spaces to connect, converse and create, but most importantly, they’re fun!

Please don't forget to sign up for the Coop card - MAYFACS is one of the Coop’s local good causes from now until 23 October 2021! Specifically, the money raised is to go towards our new venture, the Mayfacs Shed.

This is how the shed and surroundings look now, it has lots of potential but needs a bit of work to get it functioning.
