Middle House Lunches
The Middle House lunches are held in the Middle House, High Street, Mayfield. They were originally started and organised by Age Concern, Mayfield and are a popular, subsidised monthly lunch club. The Middle House provides a two course lunch plus tea or coffee and they can accommodate up to around 30 people.
Middle House Lunches (pre-booked only, but please contact us to be added to our list!) Two course Lunch and Coffee for those who live alone and are aged 70+ years young! Last Thursday of each month at special discounted rate of £12.50 per person. Please contact Freya on 01435 873888 to be added to the list of invitees. Our volunteer Sue Wren will be ringing around those on our list and will aim to be offering tickets to as many people as we can reach. If you have not attended a lunch before and are interested in coming along (and meet the above criteria), please do let us know as we would like to ensure these lunches are available for as many people as possible.
How do I sign up for it?
This is by invitation only, our volunteer co-ordinator will be in contact about a week before the date of the next lunch.
Who can go?
Anyone living alone over the age of 70 from the parish of Mayfield & Five Ashes. (spaces are limited)
Special Diets
If you have a special diet, eg you have diabetes, please let us know.
How much does it cost?
Attendees will need to pay £12.50 collected, preferably in cash, by our Volunteer at the meal.
When and at what time?
2nd Thursday of the month, 12.15pm for a 12.30pm lunch.
